Victoria
Falls / Livingstone
and surrounding Activities
If
this is your first time to Zambia, you MUST plan to spend a few
days in and around the spectacular Victoria Falls.
September will be the dry
season so you have the chance of really seeing the awesome
physical formation of the falls (the wet season is too misty
to see much).
The Zambezi widens to
almost 2kms and then plunges 100m into a deep chasm below
and carves its way through the magnificent Batoka Gorge
creating a playground for rafting, kayaking, river boarding,
jet boating and the most awesome views for a bungi jump off
Vic Falls bridge.
You can take walks across the lip of the Falls to
Livingstone Island where Dr Livingstone first laid eyes on
the Falls and named them after his queen.
There are many walks around
the Falls and down below to the boiling pot shows a
spectacular view from the bottom up.
Livingstone town has
several backpackers establishments and guesthouses.
